While we wait for the next installment of the Shrek on Broadway to come back no New York, fans of live entertainment around the country are finding other venues to enjoy. While there are tons of comedians on tour right now if you want some laughs, the phenomenon known as the Wicked Musical continues its incredible run in theater venues across the country. The Wicked musical has been among the most successful events of all time and for those of you out there who have seen it you know why, one of the reasons is the incredible Wicked cast. From day one, Wicked tickets have been an incredibly hot item on Broadway, and with productions of Wicked going on across the country, if you haven’t seen the show then you need to get out there. Get your tickets and watch Elphaba, Glinda Fiyero and the rest of the cast do their thing on stage. From the ongoing Wicked New York production at the Gershwin Theatre to the production of Wicked in San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre, theater goers everywhere are going in for second and third servings of the magic of the Wicked Musical. This is a look at some of the biggest productions of Wicked happening right now.

It all started in San Francisco, when Wicked debuted on June 10, 2003 in pre-Broadway production. The set featured some of Broadway’s biggest stars along with Tony Award winner Designer Eugene Lee who designed one of the most elaborate sets in Musical history. Among the more interesting parts of the show is the Wicked soundtrack full of incredible music. With more than 200 costumes, awe inspiring music and incredible lighting, the demand for Wicked San Francisco tickets was through the roof. It’s been going gangbusters ever since, and Wicked in San Francisco has been one of the most successful runs of any theater production ever. And while the San Francisco production of Wicked was a great success, it was only a preview of the phenomenon that would come in New York.

Wicked opened in Broadway on October 8, 2003 for preview, with the official opening on October 30. Among the most anticipated productions of all time, Wicked New York tickets had been sold out months in advance. Since day one Wicked on Broadway has been a success, and has grossed over $1 million each week. Wicked on Broadway has become an institution, rivaling Broadway productions like Cats and Phantom of the Opera.

To the north of New York, Wicked has been having a great run in Boston. They’re crazy for buying Wicked Boston tickets in Beantown, with some of the most sophisticated theater goers in the country. The Wicked Boston production plays at the Boston Opera House and has drawn rave reviews from all those in attendance. The Boston Opera House is on 539 Washington St. in Boston, MA. Another big production is the Wicked in Columbus, Ohio. A production this big has drawn thousands of fans, putting Wicked Columbus tickets on par with the rest of the country. There are also a ton of fans that want Wicked Minneapolis tickets for the latest show at the Orpheum Theatre. Paul McCartney to star in fourth Shrek film

Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly been tapped to lend his voice to the upcoming Shrek the Fourth. While nothing is set in stone, the Beatle seems to be the latest big-time celebrities to star in the popular Shrek films. McCartney probably wont be involved in the Shrek Musical, but he might stop by to visit the Irish Bono and The Edge.

The film is still being put togeher, and Shrek the Fourth is set to be released in 2010. After that there will be another Shrek film, that makes a total of five Shrek films plus the Shrek Musical. You bet that SHrek tickets to the fourth film will be just as hot as ticket to the Shrek Musical.

The popular Shrek films have alwasy been known for having A-List stars lend their voices. The Beatle will join Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonia Banderas on the cast. McCartney will not be the first from the British Isles to lend his voice. While Myers plays Shrek with a heavy scottish accent, Shrek the Third starred to authentic Brits. Monty Python’s John Cleese and Eric Idle lent their voice to the third instalment of the children’s franchise.
